Cult of the Divine

Dry-Hopped Pale Lager - 4.5% ABV

Cult of the Divine is a dry-hopped pale lager with 4.5% ABV.

This crushable, refreshing lager is brewed with Pilsner malts and hopped with Motueka, Strata, and Nectaron.

Expect a light to medium body with a bready/biscuity malt character. Light, floral, and zesty with balanced bitterness. Crisp and highly sessionable. Don't hesitate to throw back 2, 3, (or 4 or more!).

Father Major Jealous Divine, known as ‘the Messenger' and often referring to himself as a God, founded a movement with a devout following labeled as a cult, based in the Divine Lorraine Hotel in the mid-1900s. This building still stands today at the corner of Broad and Fairmount and is one of the city's most unique architectural masterpieces.

A Howling Wilderness

XPA - Extra Pale Ale - 5% ABV

A Howling Wilderness is an XPA (or Extra Pale Ale) with 5% ABV.

This punchy pale ale is brewed with Pilsner, Oat Malt, and White Wheat malts and is generously hopped with Citra, Riwaka, and Nectaron. 

Expect to pour a straw yellow to golden color with a light to medium body. Moderately hazy but not 100% opaque. Strong notes of pineapple, peach, and passionfruit while maintaining some bitterness. We call it Extra for a reason!

In the early 1700s, Francis Daniel Pastorius, was a prominent educator, lawyer, and poet, and was the founder of the Germantown neighborhood. He described Philadelphia as a 'howling wilderness' in his writing before it transformed into the urban jungle we know today.

Schuylkill Rangers

Hazy Double IPA - 8.2% ABV

Schuylkill Rangers is a dry hopped hazy double IPA with 8.2% ABV.

This swashbuckling double IPA is brewed with Pilsner, Oats, and White Wheat malts and assertively hopped with Rakau, Galaxy, Citra Cryo, and Nelson Sauvin.

Expect a full bodied and hop saturated brew with a vibrant yellow-orange to golden color, and a soft profile with a fluffy white head. Prominent haze and juiciness with balanced bitterness and a kiss of resin/dankness.

The inspiration for Schuylkill Rangers is one of the 150+ gangs that roamed Philly's neighborhoods in the mid-1800s. Led by 'Wild Jimmy' Haggerty, the gang known as the Schuylkill Rangers often looted the wharves and coal yards along the eponymous river until their break up after the Civil War.

Record of Strangers

Dark Lager - 5.4% ABV

Record of Strangers is a dark lager with 5.4% ABV.

This cozy and mysterious lager is brewed with Bohemian Pilsner and specialty dark malts and hopped with the classic Saaz.

Expect to pour a light to medium bodied brew that is nearly midnight black. A tan head gives way to robust notes of coffee, dark chocolate, and light burnt toast. Complex malt character with an easy drinking dry finish.

The inspiration for Record of Strangers is a historical articfact housed within the Athenaeum, a centuries old membership library and cultural hub of its time, located right off Washington Square. Prominent visitors were signed into this curious guest book and were given the title of “Stranger.”
